Blessed are You, O’LORD our G_d, King of the universe, Creator of all things for following darkness with the dawn, for chasing away winter with the spring, for transforming stone into flesh – Blessed is Your Name that my once hard heart has been made soft by Your presence. Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD, G_d Almighty. Forever and ever AMEN.

In the past I’ve found that reflecting on my life and choices led me into places of guilt and shame. I’m discovering each day that the LORD wants to tell me a different story – that the LORD wants to take me by the hand and show me the beauty of the sunrise. How its warmth chases away the cold of night, how its light chases away the darkness. The LORD wants to show me that what once appeared as death is now beginning to bloom, that which was brown is now becoming green with life. The LORD wants to show me that the hardened heart of my soul is being made over into a living/thriving life giving piece of G_d’s good and beautiful creation.

May we begin to live a life that allows the darkness to be defined by the dawn not the other way around!
