Blessed are You, O’LORD our G_d, King of the universe, Creator of all things that You would write a love letter to us. A letter filled with hopes and stories of what You would go through and do for us.

Blessed are You, O’LORD our G_d, King of the universe, Creator of all things that You still pursue us, that You still court us, that You still desire us.

Blessed are You, O’LORD our G_d, King of the universe, Creator of all things that you still desire us for Your bride. May we live into that role more and more each day.

I remember when I first met my wife…she was (and still is) the most amazingly beautiful being in all of creation. I was so enamored by her – every aspect of her: The way she spoke, the way she walked, the way she blinked, the way she smiled, the way she thought, the way she laughed, the way she breathed. You get the picture – maybe you’ve been there yourself.

Every aspect of her captivates me to this day – I will spend my entire life pursuing her beauty, pursuing the depths of who she is. This is the lens I have begun to understand my relationship with G_d through – He is so enamored with His creation (all of creation).

When I read the scriptures and see the imagery of a suitor chasing after His would-be bride, I can’t help but to feel a bit giddy. Many of us spend most of our lives trying to demonstrate why He should love us – missing that He has loved you/us all along.

My prayer today is that we would all just breathe in this passionate love of our Creator…that we might give in to His relentless pursuit and enjoy the abundance of His unending love.
